Biris Goran assisted Romcarbon SA with joint venture involving EBRD and Global Finance

Biris Goran assisted Romcarbon SA, a company traded on Bucharest Stock Exchange, with a joint venture relating to the Green Group, with the joint venture partners being the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Global Finance.  The team was led by Dan Visoiu, who was assisted by Ruxandra Jianu, Gabriel Biris and Sorin Biban regarding tax issues, and Simona Alecu with respect to corporate matters. Biris Goran organized fourth edition of VentureConnect

Biris Goran organized the fourth edition of VentureConnect (www.ventureconnect.ro) on 23 November 2011.  Eleven entrepreneurs were chosen to pitch their projects to potential investors from among thirty-two submitted projects.  The selected projects were from Romania, Croatia, Great Britain and Macedonia.  The event was attended by over fifty potential investors from the United States, Western Europe, the Central & East European region as well as Romania.  Also participating in this fourth edition were Doug Richard (successful serial entrepreneur, business mentor and panelist in the UK-based entrepreneurial TV show “Dragon’s Den”), Nelson Gray (a UK-based angel investor recently named as “Business Angel of the Year”) and Emi Gal (the CEO of one of Romania’s most successful online ventures, Brainient, which has been financed by investors from Silicon Valley and London).  The upcoming VentureConnect Bucharest edition is scheduled for May 2012.

Biris Goran represented investment group which purchased a 100% stake in News Outdoor Romania

Biris Goran represented the investment group which purchased a 100% stake in News Outdoor Romania as part of the divestment by News Corporation of its Russian and Romanian subsidiaries, with News Outdoor Romania being the third largest outdoor advertising company in Romania.  Partner Dan Visoiu was the lead attorney on this transaction, and was assisted primarily by associate, Delia Cozma.
