Monica Novac

Before joining Biris Goran in 2011, Monica was an associate with the Bucharest office of a major international law firm, focusing on corporate/M&A, employment and litigation matters. At Biris Goran, Monica has been involved in various corporate acquisitions, due diligence procedures and drafting of acquisition documentation. Monica has also advised clients in connection with numerous employment issues, such as employment agreements, early terminations, transfers and restructurings of business and personnel and has assisted with civil, commercial, employment, intellectual property and administrative litigation matters.

• Assisted a major Belgian retailer in the preparation and submission of a binding bid (including a due diligence procedure) for the potential acquisition of two Romanian supermarket chains
• Advised Invitel Holdings A/S in connection with the sale of Invitel International, including its subsidiary S.C. EuroWeb Romania S.A., to Türk Telekom for an enterprise value of EUR 221 million
• Assisted ABC Data S.A., the Polish IT products distribution market leader (including a due diligence procedure) in connection with the acquisition of 51% of Scop Computers SRL, a Romanian privately owned distributor, in a transaction with an estimated value of EUR 5 million
• Advised Novartis Pharma Services AG in connection with employment issues related to the reorganizing of the activities of its Romanian Representative Office
