Dan’s practice focuses on international and domestic corporate transactions, competition and antitrust law.
He specializes in providing legal assistance for clients in the banking sector, steel industry, pharmaceutical sector, investors in the mining sector, international finance corporations. He participated in several merger and acquisition transactions in Romania, as well as financing and facility projects, mostly representing international investors and banks.
Clients value him also for his commercial expertise and commitment to quality and readiness to strive for perfection.
Before joining Biris Goran in 2009, Dan has acquired 11 years working experience in the legal field, with the last 3 years as a partner at a firm he formed with other lawyers, and prior to that as an associate with international law firm Salans (formerly Altheimer & Gray).
- Assisted multinational company with challenging local trademark infringement in a prominent court case (succesfully closed before first instance court, The Bucharest Tribunal).
- Assisted Austrian bank with structuring a EUR 17 million refinancing and acquisition loan to Romanian mineral water company.
- Assisted private investor in the acquisition of joint control interests in a Romanian distribution company for medical equipment having ~30% of the relevant market.
- Assisted local management team to acquire 100% controlling interest in a Romanian software company via an MBO structure.
- Assisted private investor in structuring and financing the development of a ~EUR 100 million residential and commercial real estate project located in Brasov, Romania .
