Mihai Nusca

Before joining Biris Goran in 2009, Mihai was a founding partner of Mircea & Asociatii, a Romanian medium sized law firm where he was head of the tax and environmental law practice groups. Subsequently, Mihai established his own practice focusing on administrative and commercial litigation, public procurement, corporate/M&A transactions and European Union (EU) financed projects as well as tax law with a particular focus on joint ventures, acquisitions, VAT compliance, transfer pricing and restructuring. He also has significant experience in the waste management area and has acted as consultant to the largest Romanian waste recovery company. Since joining Biris Goran, Mihai has been involved in litigation matters as well as tax and public procurement projects.

• Legal assistance relating to waste management and recycling policies, including advising public institutions with respect to the preparation of normative acts;
• Legal assistance to foreign and Romanian investors for obtaining of EU financing;
• Legal assistance to various large and mid-size investors pertaining to cross-border acquisitions and joint ventures, including advice on corporate governance issues.
